What will we be learning this year?
Autumn Term 2026
Topic Names: Tell Us A Story/Humpty Dumpty & Friends/Under The Sea

We start the year with our communication topic, 'Tell Us A Story', where we learn about fairy stories and traditional tales.

Then, we move onto our competency unit, 'Humpty Dumpty & Friends', where we learn nursery rhymes.

Lastly, we move on to the culture topic, 'Under The Sea', which focusses on ocean creatures and sealife stories.
Spring Term 2027
Topic Names: Blast Off/Let's Play/Animal Crackers

To start the Spring term, we focus on our competency unit, 'Blast Off', which is all space and the solar system.

Our conflict topic, 'Let's Play', focusses on toys and games throughout history.

Next, we will study the competency unit, 'Animal Crackers', which is all about animals and their habitats.
Summer Term 2027
Topic Names: What On Earth/Jurassic Park

The first project of the Summer term has a conservation theme. 'What On Earth' focusses on showing respect for our world.

To end the year, our competency unit, 'Jurassic Park', is all about dinosaurs and fossils.

Our Class Bible Story - Jesus Walks On Water
Our classes each have their own Bible Story, which helps to teach and remind the pupils about the skills and traits we recognise in their class.
In our Explorers class, we study the Bible story 'Jesus Walks On Water' and learn about the power of faith and trust in God. Through this story, we explore how Jesus invites us to step out of our comfort zones and believe in His ability to help us overcome our fears.
