Autumn Term 2026
Topic Names: Lightning Speed/Saxon King/Cry Freedom

We start the year with our communication topic, 'Lightning Speed', where we learn about the history of the world wide web.

Then, we move onto our competency unit, 'Saxon King', where we learn about the story of Harold Godwinson.

Lastly, we move on to the culture topic, 'Cry Freedom', which focusses on slavery throughout history.
Novel Study: The Iron Man & The Eye of the Wolf
Spring Term 2027
Topic Names: Rocky The Findosaur/Law & Order/Three Giant Steps

We start the Spring Term by completing our culture topic, 'Cry Freedom'.

Then,we will start our Science essential topic, 'Rocky The Findosaur', in which we will learn more about rocks and fossils.

Our conflict topic, 'Law & Order', focusses on rules, rights and responsibilities.

Next, we will study the Geography essential unit, 'Three Giant Steps', which is all about the UK and beyond.

Summer Term 2027
Topic Names: Under The Canopy/Viking Warrior

The first project of the Summer term has a conservation theme. 'Under The Canopy' focusses on the importance of the rainforests, with a key focus on geography and history.

To end the year, our competency unit, 'Viking Warrior', is based on the story of Ragnar Lothbrok, who was a Viking sea lord.

Our Class Bible Story - Jesus Feeds Five Thousand
Our classes each have their own Bible Story, which helps to teach and remind the pupils about the skills and traits we recognise in their class.
In our Adventurers class, we study the Bible story Jesus Feeds Five Thousand and learn about the importance of sharing and generosity. We explore how Jesus used a small boy's lunch to perform a miracle, teaching us that no gift is too small when given with love. This story encourages us to trust in God's provision and to help those in need within our community. Through engaging activities and discussions, we deepen our understanding of faith and the power of kindness.
