We are passionate about learning and love to see children succeed. It is our privilege to support all learners in meeting their own personal targets. We work closely with the teaching staff to ensure children have challenge, consolidation and continuity.

My favourite book as a young child was Brer Rabbit’s a Rascal by Enid Blyton. I loved the way he was always up to ‘no good’ – he was a little imp which I found amusing! I remember having lights out at bedtime but would sneak under my covers with a torch; I don’t think my Mum and Dad ever knew! Later, I went on to read The Famous Five also by Enid Blyton. In fact, I always had a book in my hands.

ICT Teacher & Key Stage Two

Mrs Smallwood’s favourite book  is Matilda by Roald Dahl.

This is what Mrs Smallwood says about the book:

Matilda has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

She may be naughty and defiant, but that’s only because

she knows she deserves better.

Oh and I also love a happy ending!

Toni Addy

Foundation and Key Stage One

Mrs Addy loved reading The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

Reading this really let my imagination expand to accept all of the interesting characters and places. Oz is really a place where anything can happen.

Key Stage Two

Mrs Woolfenden’s favourite book is one which will certainly appeal to our younger children.

I love reading this to my girls: it’s catchy and hilarious...

 a three-legged, one-eyed wonky, winky, honky-tonky,                                                                                         lanky, stinky-dinky, cranky donkey.
